To protect the company, its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, clients, and partners from fraud, scams, misrepresentation, and deceptive practices, all counterparties engaging with Ametheus must provide a formal indemnity undertaking.


Scope of this Policy

This policy applies to all counterparties involved in any capacity, including but not limited to:

  • Sellers, buyers, traders, and intermediaries
  • Brokers and agents
  • Charterers, shipowners, disponent owners, and vessel brokers
  • Any party involved in the supply, procurement, trading, storage, or transportation of oil, gas, petroleum products, commodities, or related services
  • Any party involved in vessel chartering (voyage charter, time charter, bareboat, or vessel nomination)

Counterparty Indemnity Requirement

Any party entering into discussions, negotiations, or transactions with Ametheus Holdings Pvt Ltd must agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ametheus Holdings Pvt Ltd, its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, and assigns from and against any and all losses, liabilities, claims, damages, costs, expenses (including legal fees), penalties, or demands arising from:

  • Any fraudulent acts, scams, misrepresentations, forgeries, or deceptive practices related to the transaction
  • False claims regarding product quality, quantity, origin, availability, allocation, or legitimacy
  • False claims regarding vessel availability, ownership, technical condition, or charter status
  • Provision of forged, altered, or unverifiable documents (including allocation letters, export licences, Bills of Lading, Q&Q reports, POF, or vessel documents)
  • Breach of representations or warranties concerning the authenticity, legality, or compliance of the commodities or vessels
  • Any involvement in money laundering, sanctions violations, or non-compliance with anti-fraud and anti-corruption regulations
  • Any third-party claims resulting from the counterparty’s actions, omissions, or unauthorised activities
  • Any unauthorised use of Ametheus’ name, documents, or correspondence

Zero-Tolerance Policy

Ametheus Holdings Pvt Ltd maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards fraud and high-risk practices.

We do not accept or engage in:

  • Requests for upfront fees, registration fees, anti-fraud deposits, or commitment payments without verified proof of product or vessel
  • Unrealistic discounts or offers that significantly deviate from market norms
  • Claims of “special allocations,” pre-loaded vessels without independent verification, or unverifiable TTO/TTT/STS arrangements
  • Refusal of independent inspection (SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek, or equivalent)
  • Unconventional or non-standard payment terms designed to bypass normal verification processes

Any suspicion of fraud, misrepresentation, or non-compliance will result in the immediate termination of all discussions and, where appropriate, reporting to the relevant authorities.
